In Lisbon there is a place that has brought an exotic concept of eating, drinking, and listening to music from Mexico. It is called Las Ficheras, and it is not the usual Tex Mex we have become used to in Portugal.

It's important to know that the Ficheras were the women who, between the 1930s and the 1940s, worked in burlesques and cabarets, inciting visitors to consume drinks in between lively conversations... and more! This is one of the first Mexican spaces in town, and the truth is that it will make you feel as welcome as these Ficheras once did - but with no ulterior motives, just to make sure everyone has a good time and enjoys the best of Mexican culture.

The space emerged in Cais do Sodré after the owners surrendered to Mexican culture on a trip that they reveal to be unforgettable. What they did with this passion is truly amazing: the flavors, the textures, the aromas, the music, the decoration - here, everything is authentic, balanced, and wonderful to experience.

Among the culinary offerings, there are delicious suggestions that showcase the best of Mexico and others that are lesser known and equally winning. Our suggestion is to try the Duck Enchilada with Orange, a delicious dish that can't be missed! However, you will find other mouthwatering options besides the classic tacos (but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try them!). And since Mexican culture extends to everything tasty, we couldn't help but try one of the cocktails that accompanied our dinner - we opted for the Raspberry Orange Margarita. Between the tequilas or the mezcal, it will be hard to choose. We can only recommend that you visit more than once and let yourself be surrendered by these Latin flavors!

By now, you understand that Las Ficheras is more than a simple restaurant. This space is a true promoter of Mexico and the best it has to offer. Cool Tip: We trust the taste of this team so much that we were seduced by the background music. And the truth is that the music is also a differentiating factor: every Friday and Saturday there are DJ sets to listen to, curated by renowned names - it's worth getting your friends together for this!
