SÃO ROQUE CHURCH AND MUSEUM

A JOURNEY BETWEEN THE 16TH AND THE 20TH CENTURY

The São Roque Church, built at the end of the 16th century, is one of the most beautiful in Lisbon, and the Museum with the same name is rich in national and international religious art.

Between the Museum and the Church, visitors can travel from the 16th to the 20th century and actually observe the presence of the Jesuits in the old São Roque professed house, as well as the installation of the Santa Casa in this same place.

The Museum is made up of five exhibition centers, where we highlight the Oriental Art collection and the Painting collection, but there is so much more to discover: the detailed ceilings and walls fascinate every visitor.

Cool Tip: On Sundays, Museum admission is free until 2:00 PM.
