All in all, there are 23 apartments. DARE Lisbon House is, in fact, a large house that, right in the city center and in one of the most iconic neighborhoods of Lisbon - Chiado - presents art, culture, and contemporaneity in one place.

DARE Lisbon House occupies a building that defies architecture - it was the 11th building to be built in the Rua dos Sapateiros after the 1755 earthquake - and it's funny how the remains of the past are still preserved in this House of the Baixa Pombalina: the crosses of Santo André, the tiles, the arches in the reception area, and the stone masonry walls are visible without any effort and are well-preserved. In dark tones perfectly fused with the woody details , the reception is the perfect way to get to know this house where the design is king.

In a space where aesthetics go hand in hand with sustainability, the experience couldn't be more satisfying (because the location is not the only thing that makes us recommend DARE Lisbon House). All amenities are biological and organic, and the decoration favors the works of small artists and local artisans - notice, on the top floors, the decorative elements made with spoils of war!

Each apartment consists of a bedroom, bathroom, and room with kitchenette, and the decoration makes us forget that we're in a building with so many centuries of history. There are three categories of apartments (standard, deluxe, and lofts) and DARE Lisbon House turns out to be a good choice for both groups and families travelling with children, or even tourists travelling alone.

The kitchenette in each apartment already includes some ingredients for breakfast (milk, butter, jam, muesli, yogurt, tea, coffee, fruit, and eggs), but each person gets to choose when they start the day and there's no scheduled time for this meal. A hotel employee places a bag of bread and croissants at the door of the house (nobody knocks on the door, so that you will not be bugged), you just have to open the door in the morning, when you want to have breakfast, and they'll all be there waiting for you! This is a nice way to make this meal available, since DARE Lisbon House doesn't have a restaurant.

DARE Lisbon House makes you feel welcome and accommodated in one of the most lively neighborhoods of Lisbon. If you're looking for a stay with a central location, but prefer an accommodation that escapes the typical hotel, this is the choice!
