Mona presents original concepts based on ordinary objects. The idea came about when its owners, Patrícia Nunes Pedro and Nuno Cardoso, were visiting museum shops and thought of opening a venue that followed that concept, a museum shop, but without a museum. Here you’ll find, for example, an alarm clock that tries to run away from you, a toilet brush that doubles as a penholder or a bucket working as a lamp. A sort of ready-made, but functional, design.

Most of these objects are put on exhibit on a shelf made entirely of cardboard, created by Moca, and shaped like a lightbulb, a central and also very creative idea.

This venue also functions as an art gallery and a place for the promotion of young artists, who now have another opportunity to exhibit their work.
