Palácio Chiado

Where gastronomy and art meet

Palácio Chiado needs no introduction. Those who walk down Alecrim Street won’t stay indifferent to the glamorous building from around 1781, and will be aware that it set the stage for luxurious experiences way back in history - and still does to this day.

The building has a powerful impact and presence, resulting from centuries of history. Palácio Chiado is, in the city of Lisbon, the heart of Food & Art that was missing, the cosmopolitan place where fine dining, art, and culture go hand in hand to create unique, exquisite, and timeless experiences. Overall, Palácio Chiado has three distinct rooms for you to uncover: the Arabian Room, the Room of the Sabines, and the Ballroom.

In a place full of glamour with carefully planned decoration, we are presented with Chef Manuel Bóia’s outstanding dishes. It is hard to describe the theme - you can see a Portuguese influence in all of them, but the flavours are transverse. During our visit, we explored the “Barão” Menu, available from Monday to Friday at lunchtime, through which we got to know the seabass fillet grilled over charcoal, and the wonderful grilled Iberian pork tacos. This is the perfect solution for a quick lunch between tasks (it includes the dish of the day, drink and coffee, and option of dessert), but it made us want to come back to try out the other options of the menu.

During your visit, take some time to check out the snacks and drinks from the bar. The Salla Bar is open to the public, and offers a special beverage menu and musical entertainment on some days of the week. Palácio Chiado also offers a takeaway menu - now the flavours developed by Chef Manuel Bóia can arrive to your home with the same luxury as usual!

With unique, original, versatile, flexible, and unforgettable offers, the experience at Palácio Chiado is sure to be one to remember. Have you already set a date to make a reservation?
