Résvés

A signature ice cream parlor in Campo de Ourique

Résvés means something like “close call” and “Close call Campo de Ourique” is an old Portuguese adage that refers to the time, in the 19th century, when the city limits ran through the tiny Maria Pia Street. This is not the case of Résvés – an ice cream parlor in the heart of the neighborhood, across from the Parada Garden. This is certainly the space that was missing in Campo de Ourique – a cool ice cream parlor.

Journalist Sofia Rego decided to change her life and engage in her great passion: ice cream. She was joined by her architect friend, Antónia Risques, and that is how the Résvés ice cream parlor was born. A typical, friendly and lovely neighborhood store, with delicious ice cream. The ice cream sold here is not just any ice cream, they’re from Gourmet Ice, the brand of ice cream by Bertílio Gomes, chef at the Chapitô restaurant.

From our experience, it is difficult to say which is the best one, but we must highlight the fruit ice creams because of their extremely faithful taste, as well as some unique flavors like the pistachio, rose, pennyroyal and carob ice creams.

Besides ice cream, there are also crepes and homemade cakes. Résvés also features a discreet and tranquil outdoor space, as well as a corner for children, so that parents can enjoy their ice cream calmly. Visit and taste the moment!
