Lourenço Pestana had the idea of opening an all-day brunch café and shared the idea with Pedro Sotero and Pedro Ferreira, two of his childhood friends, who quickly joined the adventure.

The three, from Madeira and graduated in management, now have one more thing in common: Cotidiano. It is located in Rua do Crucifixo and serves breakfasts, lunches, and snacks without rules and hours.

At Cotidiano, the menu is available all day long – not even brunch is limited to a few hours! - so you don't have to worry about the menu when you're in the mood for a toast, a bowl of oatmeal and fruit, some eggs, a salad, or pancakes; you can order whatever you want, at whatever time you want.

Here there are also several vegetarian dishes, and Meguy Pereira is the responsible for the menu – the chef has worked in renowned restaurants, such as those of José Avillez, and is now at Cotidiano to ensure that nothing fails.

In a space with capacity for 35 people, Cotidiano has several options for brunch, eggs benedict with pink sauce (made with beet extract), natural juices, vegan pancakes, sandwiches, toasts and many other snacks. There is a lot to choose from, so we leave you with the suggestion: next weekend, take the opportunity to get out of the house and try Cotidiano's creations!

Cool Tip: From Monday to Friday, there is a lunch menu (12€) that includes soup, eggs, salad or hamburger, lemonade, and coffee.
