Stanislav Russian Restaurant

From Russia, with love

A little bit of Russian traditions gave Lisbon the feel of a Tolstoy novel right in the city center, next to the Avenida da Liberdade.

We cannot judge whether these kind of dishes are more in the style of the characters Oblonsky or Levin, from Anna Karenina, but what we do know is that they are different, comforting, and that when we imagine a traditional Russian meal, it would be filled with these ingredients and served in a rustic setting, with a touch of eccentricity.

And since Russia is very large and varied, so are the dishes. The atmosphere is traditional, full of lace and color. At this restaurant you can expect dishes such as the ones we tasted: "Stanislav" Eggplant (slices of eggplant and tomato topped with Brinza white cheese), Golubsi (cabbage rolls stuffed with rice and minced meat), Ruletiki (chicken rolls in poppy seed sauce with strips of crepe), Mamaliga (maize porridge with pork and Brinza cheese), Chicken Kiev (chicken breast stuffed with butter and aromatic herbs). We accompanied the meal with a delicious and fresh mint green tea and with the typical Russian drink, Kvass, a type of cider made with leavened bread.

Have a good trip to Russia.
