Between Avenida Almirante Gago Coutinho and Avenida Marechal António de Spínola, you're going to find Parque Urbano Vale da Montanha. With a total area of 11 hectares, which includes pedestrian and cycle paths, two squares and a children’s playground, this green zone also includes a place where you can appreciate healthy meals and a very welcoming environment - Quiosque Descasca (“Descasca Kiosk”).

The menu is full of healthy and appealing suggestions, not only for the eyes but also for the palate. We were greeted with two bowls of açaí and pitaya, salads, and the Descasca Quesadilla. Furthermore, we tasted the delicious salmon toast and we drank a wonderful pineapple, strawberry and watermelon juice. The best part? All the options are made daily with fresh products - and, for that sweet teeth, there is always the cake of the day.

We suggest that you taste, in particular, the star of the house, a Descasca Salmon, a skewer of salmon, wrap, lettuce, cream cheese, cherry tomato, balsamic cream, and sesame seeds. A slight, but comforting meal! Whether it’s to comfort your stomach at lunchtime or to relax with friends for a cocktail at the end of the day, Quiosque Descasca is a peaceful refuge for all its visitors.

This place is an oasis far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Apart from offering healthy choices to take care of its customers’ health, Quiosque Descasca assumes itself as a pet and family-friendly venue, as well. As if this wasn't good enough, there are live music sessions, on weekends, and Yoga classes, on Saturday mornings! How not to love this place, right?
