Tapiocas from Brazil... in Lisbon!

Near Basílica da Estrela we find OHLINDA, one of the best tapioca places in Lisbon. Do you know what the best part is, besides its delicious taste? The place is very comfortable and the team welcomes us with an infectious joy.

OHLINDA, we're told by Andrea, one of the owners, is named after the city from which the tapiocas originate: Olinda, in Brazil. This city, in the northeast of Brazil, has a strong Portuguese influence and is known for the tapioqueiras from Alto da Sé.

The recipes of the delicious tapiocas made in OHLINDA were taught to them by an inhabitant of Olinda, who they affectionately call Vovó (grandma), who has been doing them for more than 50 years.

We tasted the one with oyster mushrooms and curdled cheese, and we loved it! For dessert, we recommend the tapioca with chocolate, coconut chips and fruit of your choice- we promise you won't regret it!
