La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte

The Secret of Entrecôte

La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte is a place that needs no introduction. With four restaurants across Greater Lisbon, it has been enchanting the hearts (and bellies) of its clients for 25 years - and does it like no one else.

The name is not deceiving. The specialty is the Entrecôte, served very tender and sliced, accompanied by the characteristic sauce, and French fries. The concept is simple: to present a differentiating product, inspired by French traditions, in a well decorated place that transports us right to the best Parisian bistros.

The welcoming place where we were received, and the friendliness of the entire team set the tone for a memorable moment at the table. That said, we decided to follow our hosts’ advice, and started by tasting the couvert. Served with an exquisite selection of bread (cereal bread and French baguette), and homemade pâtés - smoked salmon with chives, duck with Port Wine reduction, and cream cheese with basil - all so delicious that choosing our favorite is a difficult task. As it could not be otherwise, we also sampled the cheese board. “Vive la différence” is the perfect motto, because at La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte, whatever you decide to try, it will surprise you positively.

Of course, we also tasted the sirloin steak with the secret sauce (it really makes our mouths water!). Served in a good French way, the sauce is absolutely delicious and, needless to say, top secret. We don’t know exactly what makes it so special: whether the velvety texture, the aromatic mixture, or any other of the eighteen ingredients - yes, eighteen!

And, in such a glamorous venue where Parisian traditions are praised, an excellent selection of wines is due. Exclusive and original, designed in detail by La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte’s Chefs and Enologists, the wine list brings together the best of the main regions of the country, from small to large producers. We leave one last suggestion: for dessert, a tempting classic that does not escape to the concept of this restaurant. The Crème Brûlée is irresistible, and certainly will be the perfect way to end your meal!

Cool Tip: La Brasserie de L’Entrecôte is a fantastic choice for a relaxed dinner with friends. There are menus for groups that include vegetarian suggestions, so that no one feels excluded!
