After we got to know Jamie's Italian when it opened in 2018, we decided to visit Jamie Oliver's second restaurant in Lisbon – Jamie Oliver's Pizzeria is dedicated to artisanal pizzas and is located at no.12, Rua do Loreto.

Open since September 2018, Jamie Oliver's Pizzeria presents a menu suitable for true lovers of this traditionally Italian delicacy. In this second restaurant of the British Chef, there is room for the most diverse ingredients and a few surprises, and customers can choose between high and fluffy dough (the Neapolitan base) and thin and crispy dough (the Roman base) – there is no arguing here about which version of pizza is better, because they have both.

In addition to the classic flavors, such as pizza margherita or pepperoni, there are more irreverent versions that will please the more adventurous. This is the case of the Meatball with garlic and basil, the Seafood with squid, mussels and Parmesan, or the Smoked Salmon with arugula.

However, this restaurant is not only about pizza, because in an Italian restaurant you cannot miss lasagna – which can be oxtail ragout with bechamel sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan – and the appetizers, which comfort the stomach while the main dish is in the oven.

And because we know that the choice will be difficult, we will leave you with the dishes we tried on this first visit (and which made us want to come back): the garlic bread and fried squid for starters, Jamie's Supergreen (Roman pizza!) and Seafood (Neapolitan pizza), Oxtail Lasagna, and for dessert, the white chocolate cheesecake and tiramisu.
