Although there are already many hamburger joints spread out all around the city, we decided to visit the one on Príncipe Real. In a small and welcoming space, burgers to suit all tastes and styles are served up. We highlight the unique touch of Madeira – you can choose a burger on traditional Madeira Island bread (“pão do caco”) and, in keeping with the theme, wash it down with an equally traditional Madeira drink – Brisa.

Here you’ll find veggie, beef and chicken burgers. In fact, you can choose your burger by funny and local names like: Xoné, Vegeta, Vegeta Portobello, Ba-Bá–Lu, Ali Babá, T3, T2, T1, Piu-Piu, Piri-Piri, Picanha, Camone, Caco, Do Bairro, Alfacinha.

The concept is successful and proves that those who like burgers prefer them in a more traditional tone, in this case with 160 grams of the best beef, accompanied by ingredients such as chili, watercress, caramelized onions, bacon, cheese, egg or even tofu. The fries that accompany the burger can be traditional, homemade, hand-cut or sweet potato.
