Café Lisboa
Largo de São Carlos gave way to another stage in Lisbon’s restaurant scene. Here you can enjoy a meal that is more or less light, in the style of old cafés, which have returned to the spotlight today.
The curtains open to a space located in the São Carlos Theater, featuring a terrace that stands out, especially on days that are filled with good conversation, while sampling snacks created by Chef José Avillez, and drinking cocktails created by Cinco Lounge.
The menu’s main actors are surprisingly tasty cod nuggets, cod “à braz” with a new script: deconstructed green olives – which will make anyone applaud this show, especially when it joins creamy cod. The “coffee steak” also deserves the leading role and is highly recommended by critics.
Finally, you can finish the scene with a custard tart (house recipe) that, who knows, may very well be a candidate for future awards.
With regard to the space, we can say that it is a kind of homage to the theater: comfortable and highlighting what really matters – the food.
