So, what determines whether a company is cool? Everything: the passion with which it is described by those who work there and their founders, and how much it contributes to our country's notoriety, among other intangible attributes, such as overcoming an obstacle with a remote-controlled helicopter. Curious people work here, people who know how to say "I do not know, let me see", people who are not counting down their work hours, people who enjoy what they do.

We sat down with the Crowdprocess team, who guided us through the intricate explanation of what they do here.

It all started during a conference when, mixed with a little boredom, João Jerónimo had the following idea: harness the processing power of computer browsers and use it in applications that require it. This way, instead of having one or thousands of servers with massive processing ability for your application, you can use Crowdprocess to do it, in a faster and less expensive way – using only the processing capability and not the space.

It is currently used in several applications, such as the one that predicts forest fires, as well as in internationally respected research centers.

Crowdprocess plans to address large companies, by using the same technology to harness the underused power of all employees’ personal computers. Without interfering with the user experience, of course.

The sites that register with the Crowdprocess platform also receive a portion of the profits made with the Crowdprocess applications.

The Crowdprocess dream is to have a larger number of people focused on processing, with a positive impact on humanity – as the team says "this is basically it because anyone can make money".
